World of Warcraft Zhevra MountNew Referral Program Includes Faster Leveling and Exclusive Mount
World of Warcraft's new referral program offers bonuses for veteran WoW players and their friends including more experience, a summoning ability, and an exclusive mount.
World of Warcraft players have long been able to earn a month of free gametime by roping their unsuspecting friends into signing up for the addictive massively-multiplayer online game through the friend referral program. According to the World of Warcraft Website, now current players have even more incentive to get their friends hooked on World of Warcraft, an exclusive in-game Zhevra mount. World of Warcraft players are notoriously enthusiastic about unlocking exclusive content, and the introduction of the zhevra mount reward is sure to lead to a recruiting boon amongst the playerbase. Linked AccountsThe mount is not the only new incentive, however. Existing WoW players can send out an email invitation to friends from the Account Management section of the World of Warcraft website. Once an invitation is accepted, the recruiter’s account will be linked to the new WoW player's account. This link grants players on both accounts the ability to summon one another from anywhere in the game world once per hour. The link lasts for 90 days from when the trial account is created. Triple ExperienceExperience gained when a character from the original WoW account is grouped with one from the recruit’s account is tripled. When the characters are the same level, both gain triple experience. If one is higher than the other, then the lower character is the only one who receives the bonus. The bonus applies to both experience from kills and experience gained from quests. Grant LevelsAdditionally, for every two levels the recruit gains in World of Warcraft, they are able to grant a level to one of the recruiter’s lower-level characters. These “level ups” don’t have to be utilized immediately. The veteran WoW player is free to save them for the higher, more difficult levels, they just can’t be used past level 60. Recruiter BonusesOnce the recruit purchases a copy of World of Warcraft and activates their account, the recruiter will receive a free month of World of Warcraft gametime. The Zhevra mount is granted when the recruit pays for his second month of WoW gametime. Players can receive multiple mounts by referring multiple newbies to WoW. Many MMORPGs have some sort of referral program. Most offer gametime, as World of Warcraft has done since the game’s launch. Never before has such a lucrative incentive been offered for recruitment, however. The bonuses are so enticing, it’s almost a certainty that many WoW players will create dummy accounts and pay for 60 days just to reap the in-game benefits. The bonus for the new player is a fantastic incentive as well. MMORPGs like World of Warcraft can be notoriously complicated and difficult to get into, despite their often extensive tutorials. Accelerated experience will remove some of the frustration associated with jumping into such a massive game and provide encouragement for veteran WoW players to take the time to show their recruited friends the ins and outs of the game.
