Mastering the use of the elements, the WoW Shaman uses her tribal gifts to protect and aid allies. Surrounded by tribal totems the Shaman is prepared for anything.
The World of Warcraft Shaman is a jack-of-all-trades class, wielding the power of the elements to damage enemies, heal and protect allies, and improve the Shaman’s combat ability. Dropping Totems that can heal, protect, slow or even cause damage, Shamans make a valuable addition to any party in World of Warcraft. Shamans in WoW will run a series of quests throughout their career to learn mastery over the elements, learning to harness the powers of earth, air, fire, water and especially lightning. Using the gifts that their tribal ancestors have passed down increase the Shaman’s power significantly, even allowing the Shaman to take on the form of a Spirit Wolf (lvl 20). WoW Shaman Talent Trees – Elemental, Enhancement, RestorationThe WoW Shaman Elemental talent tree is designed to increase magic based DPS. Points spent in the Elemental tree will go a long way toward increasing the Shaman’s magic skills. Highlights of the World of Warcraft Elemental talent tree include Unrelenting Storm (regenerate 12% mana while casting with 3 points) and Call of Thunder (increases critical strike rating of Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, and Thunderstorm by 5% with 1 point). The Enhancement tree for the World of Warcraft Shaman greatly increase the melee DPS and overall survivability of the Shaman. Points spent in this tree will grant the Shaman increased critical strike chance (crit), improve Lightning Shield, and even allow the Shaman to dual wield offensive weapons. Highlights of the WoW Shaman’s Enhancement tree include Thundering Strikes (increases melee and spell crit chance by 5% with 5 points) and Feral Spirit (summons two controllable spirit wolves for 45 seconds with 1 point). The Restoration tree increases the WoW Shaman’s effectiveness as a healer, though not to the level of the Priest. Spells in this tree will improve the Shaman’s healing spells and totems. Highlights of the WoW Restoration tree include Tidal Focus (Reduces mana cost of healing spells by 5% with 5 points) and Nature’s Swiftness (when active, the next nature spell with a cast time below 10 seconds becomes an instant cast, 1 point). WoW Shaman – Magic Focused Melee Class Using spells, totems and melee enhancements the World of Warcraft Shaman is poised to fill most any role in a group or raid. Depending on the Shaman’s talent spec, she may be called upon to heal, buff, or melee in any situation. Shamans are a fun class to play, and the travel form (Spirit Wolf) gained at level 20 is a very nice bonus. Players will find the WoW Shaman a fun and sometimes challenging class to play.
