The ability to buff others, raise the dead and heal all come naturally to the Priest, truly gifted in the manipulation of the holy power of the light. The Priest and her holy power is the most sought after commodity for groups in the World of Warcraft, and characters should never have any trouble finding a party or raid to join. Good thing too – after about level 20, playing a priest solo becomes more difficult.
WoW Priest Talent Trees – Discipline, Holy and Shadow
The Discipline tree is a balanced tree for the WoW Priest, managing mana while improving both damage and healing. Discipline talents offer improved Power Word: Shield (PW:S), increased stats and casting speed, and mana cost reductions for some spells. Highlights include Mental Strength (increases intellect by 15% with 5 points) and Divine Spirit (Spirit increased up to 80 at rank 6, 1 point ).
The Priest’s Holy tree can be summed up in two words – improved healing. Granting the Priest versatility, survivability and vastly improved healing, the Holy Priest is invaluable to their party. Increased durations, healing power, and critical chance are the hallmark of the World of Warcraft Priest Holy talent tree. Highlights include Spiritual Guidance (increases spell damage and healing 25% of spirit rating with 5 points) and Spiritual Healing (10% increase to amount healed with 5 points).
Shadow Priests are a true force to be reckoned with. Using the dark side of their faith to smite their enemies, the WoW Shadow Priest is capable of putting up more than respectable DPS numbers. Talents in the Shadow talent tree can stun, slow and in general harass the Priest’s enemies. Highlights of the World of Warcraft Shadow Priest include Shadow Reach (offensive shadow spells have 20% increased range with 2 points) and Darkness (increases shadow damage 10% with 5 points).
World of Warcraft Priest – The Essential Healer
Players who choose to play a Priest will, if played with skill, be able to write their own ticket. If the Priest learns to keep a level head in the heat of battle, she will succeed. Watching the health of her group or raid and ensuring no one falls, success is all but guaranteed. There is nothing in demand more than a skilled, well played Priest - except perhaps the tank who protects her.
Group and raid invitations will be plentiful and the Priest will be able to go where she chooses. With the ability to keep alive allies, and raise her fallen friends it is no wonder the Priest is so sought after in World of Warcraft.
