WoW Isle of Conquest Horde GuideThe Newest World of Warcraft Battleground is a Challenge for Horde© John Wu
Because the map for Isle of Conquest (IoS) favors the Alliance slightly with respect to the hangar, the Horde have to attack differently in WoW's newest PVP battleground.
In World of Warcraft's newest PVP battleground, Isle of Conquest, the hangar is the most overpowered node on the map. The entire raid can use the hangar to get on a blimp and parachute into the enemy keep. With a large number of players invading the keep, it is impossible to defend the keep against such a large assault. For this reason, both WoW factions usually send large numbers of players to the hangar. Isle of Conquest Alliance StrategyThe Alliance version of winning the Isle of Conquest is very simple. Take the hangar, which the Alliance can reach 2 seconds sooner than the Horde, defend it, and then use the blimp to parachute into the Horde Keep. Once in the keep, break down the front door and kill the Horde general. This can be in as little as 8 minutes. Horde Usually Loses the Hangar in IoS Horde cannot utilize the above strategy because the hangar is located at the top of a hill which presents line of sight issues for attacking Alliance players. As mentioned earlier, the hangar is also 2 seconds closer to the Alliance's starting point. This means Alliance players can set themselves perfectly at the top of the hill to defend against Horde. In most cases, disadvantaged Horde players die and subsequently resurrect in the Horde keep. Although a Horde hangar assault seems to be World of Warcraft's version of the invasion of Normandy, killing some alliance during the battle will help lower the number parachuting in. Horde that die at the hangar will resurrect in the keep. They should stay in the Horde keep and defend it either with PVP or by manning the guns. For Horde, having a defensive force can greatly slow the Alliance down. Horde Isle of Conquest OffensiveTaking the dock gives the Horde a limited number of catapults, which are used to propel players over the walls of the Alliance keep. The huge seaforium bombs inside the Alliance keep can be used to break down the front gate of the Alliance keep as well as break down the door to the Alliance general. The remaining Horde forces should take the other objectives, including the hangar. The hangar will be lightly defended once the Alliance parachute in during the initial assault. The siege workshop in the center is very helpful for the Horde to capture since they can produce tanks and bombs to get through the Alliance's front gate. Unfortunately, a strategy that's guaranteed to fail is to capture just the siege workshop and try to use its tanks and bombs to get through the Alliance front gate. By the time the front gate goes down, the Horde general will already be dead. The best chance for Horde World of Warcraft PVP players to win is to defend, use the catapults from the dock, and use the siege workshop to make tanks and bombs.
