Abilities in the social-networking Facebook Game Application Vampire Wars are used during combat when attacking and defending. When attacking, the attack stat is used, while when defending, the defense stat is used.

The amount of abilities used in each category is equal to the number of members in the clan. A player with 20 clan members, for example, will use 20 offensive abilities, 20 defensive abilities, and 20 movement abilities in combat. The most powerful abilities are used automatically.

A new Vampire Wars update by Zynga has allowed players the option to upgrade certain abilities for higher attack and defense. Upgrading costs blood, and upgraded abilities typically have high blood upkeep, meaning many minions are required to sustain upgraded abilities.

Cost to Buy and Upgrade Offensive Abilities

Below is a list of how much it costs to upgrade each offensive ability. "Buy" is how much the ability costs to purchase, "Improve" is how much the ability costs to improve while the % before is how much the ability is improved.

The ability will not improve to the next level until it reaches 100%. Abilities may only be improved once every 24 hours, unless purchased with Favor Points.

Fangs: Buy 100 - Improve 20% for 1,000

Improving abilities to the next level will increase the attack and defense of that ability. The following is a list of all the upgraded / improved abilities from the offensive category.

It's best to wait and purchase plenty of minions until the blood upkeep is satisfied before upgrading or purchasing improved abilities.

Upgraded Offensive Abilities Conclusion

While it may take an absurd amount of time and blood to improve abilities, fully improved abilities have better attack and defense than most of the rare abilities, and really gives the player the edge in combat.
