Games are often considered a waste of time, but usually there is some point to them. There's not much to this flash game, but it is an intriguing concept.

Further defining the idea that games in general are a waste of time is the simple flash offering, the Never Ending Level Game. The video game's designers describe it as a test of the user's patience and IQ, but it seems that the people with the highest IQ would simply ignore the test.

That does not mean that this simple flash browser game should be passed up. The Never Ending Level Game is a great way to waste time and not without a certain sense of humor. What it lacks, unlike Starcraft, is replay value.

The Idea Behind the Never Ending Level Flash Game

When the user first visits the website for the Never Ending Level Game, he is warned that the game is a test of skill and patience. The higher a player progresses through the game, the higher his IQ is, although it is often more of a test of patience than intelligence. The designers state that the more levels a player completes, the higher his intelligence. The yard stick that gives the player his IQ is how many levels the person completes. As the levels stop at 132, a casual observer is left to assume that people with an IQ of 133 or higher are not dumb enough to play the Never Ending Level Game.

The last sentence may be unfair to the designers of the Never Ending Level flash game, who designed the test to be a distraction. The test of intelligence and patience is merely a gimmick to get people to play the game in the first place. Unlike older puzzle games that really do not have an ending and are addictive, this is a game that a person may play once and tell their friends about. Other flash games, such as Line Rider, maintain a good simple, addictive quality..

The Never Ending Level Flash Game as a Work Distraction

The Never Ending Level game does not require a lot of system memory or complex graphics. It is not something that requires a great deal of time investment, unlike mmorpgs, but it is a fun way to spend a few minutes on a rainy or snowy day.

Finding a game emulator for an older system might be a far more fulfilling way to spend such time as you can miss out on the good older video games that you have missed, rather than playing a flash game. If that fails, a subscription to Gametap works as well to experience old games, but a person should try the Never Ending Level Game at least once.
