Commandos may not get all the glory, but they are one of the most fun classes to play in Sony Online Entertainment's space fantasy mmorpg.

Jedis, Smugglers, and Bounty Hunters help give players of Sony Online Entertainment's Star Wars Galaxies the experience of the Star Wars Universe, but the galactic civil war demands that players be given the option to play military characters as well. Players who enjoy demolitions and dealing with heavy weapons should consider joining the elite commando class.

Raising a commando's combat level in Star Wars Galaxies is much the same as it is with other classes. While it is not strictly necessary for a player of this class to carry a heavy weapon as his choice in Player versus Environment and Player Versus Player combat, many people who enjoy playing the class feel that carrying one is essential for the true experience. Without the classes geared towards the Empire and the Rebellion's military, Star Wars Galaxies would not be able to capture the look and feel of the time period portrayed in the original movie trilogy.
