PvP Warrior Builds for World of WarcraftThree Proven Talent Combinations for Battlegrounds and Arena
A good talent build is the difference between victory and defeat in World of Warcraft, especially in player vs player battles.
Although indispensable in raids and parties, the Warrior is an often overlooked class in player vs player matches. This is understandable, as the class suffers from several distinct disadvantages:
However, the class is designed in such a way that a skilled player can be more than a match for any other class. Even Hunters and Warlocks will fall to a well-played Warrior. The keys are lots of practice, good PvP gear, and a talent build that suits your style of play. There three talent builds for pvp. They are
Mortal Strike/FlurryThe most common build, this gives you an instant mass damage dealer and healing debuff in Mortal Strike, with the incredible damage buff of Flurry. It is most effective when used with a two-handed weapon--the slow speed is mitigated by Flurry, and since Mortal Strike is an instant attack, speed means nothing. Make sure to take movement impeding talents such as Piercing Howl and Improved Intercept. Nothing is more frustrating than for Flurry to click in, only to not be able to catch up to your opponent. Improved Overpower is a must too, to maximize your critical hit potential. Mortal Strike/Concussion BlowThis build is the most difficult of the three to use--but once mastered is perhaps the most effective. Proper use of this build involves switching from stance to stance constantly. The benefits of this stance is that it gives a player control over his opponents’ actions and increased survivability. Concussion Blow shines in PvP--being able to stun an opponent at will gives you the best chance to avoid being “kited” (attacked from a distance while a player tries unsuccessfully to catch his opponent) by Mages, Hunters, and Warlocks. Last Stand gives a quick health boost to get in those last few attacks. Improved Disarm should give the advantage over melee attackers. This build is most effective with Mace Specialization in order to maximize stun abilities. A player should make sure to add a macro that lets one switch to mace and shield when in Defensive Stance in order to utilize Shield Bash and Spell Reflection. Flurry/ImpaleThis build is rarer than the others, but can be found among dual-wield warriors. The build is all about speed and dealing as much damage to as many enemies as possible. Dual Wield Specialization is a must to maximize your damage. The build will be relying on Heroic Strike and Whirlwind for dealing damage, so he should make sure to take their talent improvements. This build works with all dual-wield weapon types. Axe Specialization will improve critical hit rating. Sword Specialization gives an extra attack that is not decreased by Resilience. Mace Specialization gives a stun ability that will help keep opponents in place while pounding away at them. Choosing one of these three talent builds should give the player a fighting chance in both the Battlegrounds and in the Arena. However, the most important advice is to find a build that suits the player. Remember that it is a game, and having fun is the most important thing. The player get caught up in the competition at the loss of enjoyment. Talent Builds for Warriors Links
