Mafia Wars players with large families have an advantage over those that do not. Large Mafia families do better in fights and have the availability of their families weapons. It’s great when a person has a lot of facebook friends who play Mafia Wars but what about when they do not? Growing a Mafia Wars family is easy. Here's how.
Ask the Current Mafia Wars Family
One way for players to grow their Mafia family is to ask other family members to ‘pimp’ them. Send family members a message asking them for help in growing a family. They will usually post the requesters profile on their own home page. That way, all the players in their specific family can send a friend request to that person. Once a player accepts friend requests, they can then add these players to their family.
Mafia Wars Recruitment Walls
One of the best ways for a player to attract a lot of Mafia Wars players is to add their name to the Mafia Wars Recruitment Center (MWRC). Players that add their name to the MWRC’s wall usually get a lot of friend requests immediately. Keep in mind that any postings to the Recruitment Center wall also get posted to the Home Page. Doing this too frequently may annoy other players and non-playing friends alike. Post strategically at times when a lot of players are probably online such as week-day evenings.
Fan Clubs and Groups
Fan clubs and groups are also great ways to generate a lot of friend requests from other Mafia Wars players. There are tons of groups and fan clubs on facebook. Players can join and will receive requests for friends instantly. Groups such as Mafia Wars Add Group or Mafia Wars - Add 200+ Members in 60 Minutes Guaranteed will probably generate a large family for players.
One thing to keep in mind is that a player must add a person as a facebook friend before they can add them to the Mafia family. Players who send too many friend requests in a day may get ‘pink boxed’. This means that facebook has been alerted to the large amount of friend requests and thinks that person could be a spammer. If a player is ‘pink boxed’, they cannot add further friends that day.
There is no limit of the number of friends that a player can accept though, so joining groups or recruiting centers where other players suggest the friend request is a good way to grow a family without fear of being ‘pink-boxed’ by facebook.
