Facebook Cafe World is much easier to play when there is a basic understanding of the term and objects used to maneuver through the levels to gain coins and experience.
Zynga’s newest addition to the many social networking games on Facebook is Café World. This simple yet addictive new game has players competing with each other to have the best café in the neighborhood. Understanding the basic terminology used in the game is important when following the various aspects of play.
After starting the game by opening the café, players should familiarize themselves with the basics in order to come up with their own business plan for running their café and increasing their buzz rating and being the best in the neighborhood.
Basic Terminology and Objects
In order to maximize game play, there are some things that need to be understood. Terminology that is often used in game play is described below. Following terminology is an overview of the necessary objects needed for game play.
Cook: This is the players ‘game piece” or avatar. The Cook is the owner of the Café. He or she can be customized by clicking on the Cook. Notice that some options cost coins.
Waiters and waitresses: These are the café’s employees. As the game progresses more employees are granted. The employee is chosen from the player’s list of friends. They can also be fired. These employees serve the foods to the customers and pick up the dirty dishes.
Café: This is the player’s restaurant. It is customizable using options that are unlocked as levels increase. This is the game play area.
Coins: Used to buy various options in the game, such as tables, chairs, functional items and ingredients for recipes. This is not the same as cash.
Buzz Rating: This shows the popularity of the Café. It continually fluctuates based on how happy or unhappy guests are. This rating determines how many guests visit the café.
Experience Levels: Like all social games as experience points increase and milestones are reached, experience levels increase. At each new experience level, there is a reward, such as a new recipe to use or a new stove being unlocked and available to use.
There are other terms that will be introduced throughout game play; however, these are the most important ones to learn and keep in mind in the beginning.
Café World Objects
There are many different objects in Café World, some are necessary and some are decorative. The necessary objects are described below.
Stoves: It is impossible to have a café without some type of stove. Café World has several different stoves, each available at different levels of the game for a cost. In the beginning of the game there are three and as levels increase, more are available for purchase. Stoves are critical and players should have as many as possible in order to cook as many dishes as possible. The type of stove is not important and does not increase point values at this time.
Counter tops are also important. Without them there is no where to put the food and so it can’t be served. Each counter can hold one type of dish. However, multiple dishes of the same kind can be stacked on one counter. This is helpful in planning strategies.
Tables and Chairs: Lastly, the café must have tables and chairs. One table and one chair per person. Don’t waste café floor space putting two chairs per table, they won’t be used.
Other objects are in the inventory section and should be looked at; however, they are not as critical as those listed herein.
